This week Bill Johnson, the Senior Pastor from Bethel Church, Reading, California returned to the City Temple for the Heaven2Earth Wales conference. Having heard Bill before I wanted all the team from Ignite to be at the conference to learn from his ministry and see first hand some of the miraculous healings that seem to accompany his meetings. Bill has a great delivery and and easy style which so belies some of the profound and challenging things he says. If you were to view everything critically there are things that you could theologically disagree with but that is not the spirit that I want to have. Indeed this is in line with a comment that Bill continues to make that we should thank God for what He has done and not focus on what He has not done. 

In the first teaching session Bill looked at how the Kingdom of God advances. He suggested that some of it comes from Inheritance and some of it has to be fought for. Mark 10:15 

"I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

The idea of the kingdom advancing through inheritance is very appealing to those of us who live in Wales. This is a land with a history of revival and many believe that there will be another one and soon!

In Matthew 11:12 that "From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it."  The suggestion being that some things will need to be fought for. Determining the difference in approaches is the challenge!

So what will my city and my nation look like if God shines His light in the darkness? As I reflected on this a number of thoughts came to my mind:

Christians in positions of power

Crime reduced massively

Tangible signs of favour

Cancer statistics reduced.

My desire is to hear God's voice on this.
