On The Road with Graham Kendrick & Tony Campolo Pt 2

I am writing this from the "green room" at the Vine Church in Dunfermline. These are the great people who used to organise the Frenzy Festival each year. They know how to serve and we are been looked after really well!

4479 Yesterday, We were in Glasgow. I love being there if for no other reason than it gives me the opportunity to hang out with my mate Tim Cheshire from Superhero. Yesterday had the additional bonus that Sue, his lovely wife was also with him. We had such a great time in the bar afterwards and I am grateful for friends like this. The event was excellent, Graham was on form and Tony was on fire! At least 59 kids got sponsored last night and that makes the miles and the hours worthwhile

Terl-main-300x225 Travelling with these people is really nice. Terl Bryant is such a talented drummer and percussionist. In addition Graham is using an acoustic bass player called Simon Dennis. Simon was Graham's original guitar player when he first started! Between them they are re-working Graham's classic worship songs and also playing some of his new "story" songs that have been recorded on "The Acoustic Gospels"

More to follow....

On the Road with Graham Kendrick & Tony Campolo

An_evening_with_tony_campolo_and_graham_kendrick It was 15 years ago that as part of the newly founded charity, Nigel and I organised a date at Cardiff International Arena for Graham Kendrick as part of his Rumours of Angels Tour. Over 2,500 turned out and it was a very special evening. Shortly after we introduced to the ministry of Compassion. Since then Big Ideas and Ignite have partnered with this wonderful organisation.

So with all this background it is great to be doing 11 dates with Graham and Dr Tony Campolo. I am typing this on a ferry between Belfast and Stranraer as we head to an event in Glasgow tonight. Last night at least 96 kids were sponsored through Compassion and 600 people had a great night of thought provoking ministry and entertainment.

As well as tour managing I am driving the bus (thought those days were well behind me!).

The irony has not escaped me that as I am on a ferry crossing the Irish Sea, Nigel is preparing for another time of ministry by joining a cruise ship embarking on a Caribbean cruise!
